Tres Agaves

Brand Personality • Art Direction

With a freshly redesigned tequila package and a highly successful mixer lineup, I unified the two product lines with a new brand personality. I built key visuals and messaging that established and reinforced the fully organic product line-up, while elevating the brand within the consumer's eyes.In November 2025, Tres Agaves was named the Spirit Brand of the Year by Wine Enthusiast.

Working with Trinchero's Creative Director and Art Director, we art directed a new product photography session that highlighted both the Tequilas solo, the Mixers solo, and both products together. Evoking sunny, breezy high-end resort locations, with palm fronds and strong shadows, these glamour shots provided a solid foundation for the print materials.


Brand Style Guide

Because this was a massive rebrand for the whole lineup, I created a new brand style guide to establish the new visual direction.Not only did this include typefaces, colors, and logo usage, but rules about the brand elements and how they support the storytelling.


For the point-of-sale key visuals, I developed three separate lines: one for Tequila only, one for Mixers only, and one that paired both Tequila and Mixers together. But the messaging was clear for each: introducing the new Tres Agaves pacakging and communicating the organic value of the product. And that together, they make a perfect organic cocktail.

The original photography was updated with the new package label for the Mixers, cocktails were edited to accomodate copy space, and color backgrounds were added to the mixer images.

I developed a new look and feel for additional marketing collateral, presentations, tech sheets, and e-commerce. I pulled in a white plaster texture background to echo the glamour shots.I also utilized the distinct sku colors as a design element, to build on the color stories I was developing for the POS materials.

Canton Cooperage

Brand Storytelling • Design • Marketing Materials

Established in 1939 and under new ownership, Canton Cooperage was in need of new marketing materials for their line of American Oak wine barrels. With an expanding line of high-end barrels, the challenge was to elevate the brand by focusing on the time, detail, and effort that goes into producing a Canton barrel.

When Canton Cooperage first came on as a client, they offered 2 barrels: the Vintage and Grand Cru. Each with an existing product logo — or barrel brand — that was burned onto every barrel head.My challenge was to extend the product line in a way that worked with the existing suite, yet building up the premium perception of the brand.


Brochure & Technical Sales Sheets

For the new marketing materials, we worked with a copywriter to develop content, drawing deep on the history of the company and the quality standards they've upheld.The new product photography used dramatic lighting to draw the eye in, and highlight the high quality and tight grain of the wood.


TradeShow Booth

For the tradeshow booth, Canton Cooperage shared space with sister brand, XtraChêne, which makes oak winemaking additives. The booth floorplan had to have space to display both barrels and wood staves.I simplified the messaging so that it applied to both brands. Focusing on the phrase "Source, Season, Toast" communicated the three key elements for both product lines.

Highlights the Geographical location of the vineyard and the different wine blocks, while the camera moves 360° around the area. Made with Google Earth Video and Adobe Premiere Pro.
